In the movie Captain Ron, Martin Short’s character is introduced in a crowded elevator by a coworker as Martin Harvey who “wants to write a book,” deridingly adding, “But what are you gonna write about, adventures in new product development?” Martin sheepishly replies, “I just said someday…”

“Well my point exactly, someday…” chides Martin’s coworker.

What if someday never happens? This site is is an effort at documenting doing something worth writing about – sooner than later – and it will continue to evolve as that something continues to evolve.

For now, suffice it to say, this site is about a guy, his dog, a boat, and the pursuit of a dream – forgoing the security of a career in Public Accounting to circumnavigate the eastern United States and cruising the Bahamas, in the process of sailing a small boat through America’s “Great Loop.”
